As Director, Global Owned Media, you will be responsible for the strategic development of all owned global social media channels inclusive of channel strategy, agency resourcing, creative development, and measurement. This role will also oversee the brand's Influencer Strategy and regional implementation. Lastly, this role will partner closely with the DTC and CRM teams on ensuring consistency across regions and aligning with the overall brand vision.
What You'll Do
Drive the strategic vision for the future of Sonos social media channels, leading the team in the creation of the long-term vision and day-to-day implementation, using data and community management feedback to evolve and expand the strategy over time, keeping aligned with overall business priorities and brand guidelines.
Harness the power of social media as a new customer acquisition tool.
Lead the ongoing global brand influencer strategy, helping to identify 3rd party voices to lend brand credibility within their audiences and partnering with paid to drive awareness and reach.
Collaborate and work cross-functionally with all partners in the DTC and CRM organization along with regional marketing teams to align on the strategy and deployment across local markets.
Drive a cross-functional strategic perspective on social commerce and its implementation across key social platforms including Instagram, TikTok shop aligned to key brand and sales moments.
Drive continuous optimization of owned media channels through data-driven insights, focusing on increasing engagement, traffic and conversion rates.
Manage relationships with external agencies, ensure that all media meets our quality standard and brand guidelines.
Establish metrics to evaluate the success of initiatives, using data to inform and refine strategies.
Lead and develop a dynamic team of marketing professionals.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including CRM and DTC, product marketing, creative, analytics, product, etc. to ensure alignment of the owned media strategy.
Oversee the budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
What You'll Need
Basic Qualifications
10+ years experience in digital marketing, content strategy or media management for a premium consumer product company
Proven experience in managing global owned social media channels and influencer marketing
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of SEO, content management systems, analytics tools and social media platforms.
Experience hiring, developing and managing high-performing, diverse, inclusive and globally distributed teams.
Extensive experience managing and collaborating cross functionally to drive alignment and impact across an organization.
Ability to analyze data and use insights to drive decision-making.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with consumer electronics, consumer goods or technology products is a plus.
