Job Title: Carpenter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various carpentry tasks, including acoustical ceiling installation, soffit framing, metal framing, and drywall installation. This position requires a strong understanding of construction techniques and the ability to work efficiently in a commercial construction environment.
Responsibilities
Install acoustical ceilings
Perform soffit framing
Execute metal framing tasks
Install drywall
Conduct some grid work
Handle rough and finish carpentry
Engage in commercial framing and steel stud framing
Hang doors
Measure, cut, and level materials
Work on pencil rod ceilings
Essential Skills
Experience in construction and carpentry
Proficiency in framing, installation, and finish carpentry
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Skilled in using hand tools
Knowledge of commercial construction practices
Expertise in sheetrock and acoustical ceiling installation
Competence in metal stud and steel stud framing
Experience in rough carpentry and drywall installation
Capability to measure, cut, and level materials accurately
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The role involves working in commercial construction and renovations. The candidate will be based out of Long Island and New York City
