This Position is for a Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor (Pharmacy Practice) with a public university work location in University, MS.
Position Description
The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12-month, Non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. Rank will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. The position is based in Oxford, Mississippi. Academic responsibilities will include teaching in the integrated and modularized PharmD curriculum, Pharmacy Practice Applications Laboratory experiences, training of pharmacy students on practice experiences (IPPE and APPE), and participation in residency education. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining an active ambulatory care practice site affiliated with North Mississippi Health System. In scholarship, the candidate will be expected to publish scholarly works in peer-reviewed journals and teach and mentor students and residents in research experiences. In service or citizenship, the candidate will be required to serve the department, the school, and University according to needs and interests. Participation and leadership in professional and scientific organizations is also encouraged.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited School/College of Pharmacy, residency and or fellowship training or commensurate pharmacy practice experience, and be licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist by the State of Mississippi. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teaching, service, scholarship, and competence as a clinician. Board certification and teaching experience is encouraged.
