Position Objectives:
The Database Administrator and Prospect Researcher is an integral part of a dynamic team responsible for raising $3 million annually in support of JBFC’s film, education, and artist programs. Responsible for overseeing JBFC’s fundraising, donor management and prospect research databases (Tessitura and DonorSearch). The Database Administrator and Prospect Researcher also identifies and monitors donor groups, provides accurate and comprehensive fundraising reports, creates lists for mailings and appeals, and assists with event management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate data entry in Tessitura from gift entry through batching and acknowledgement.
- Research prospects, as well as new and existing donors. Create detailed and comprehensive profiles.
- Administer a Moves Management system by maintaining all accurate and relevant information, including donor engagement and customized cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- Using Tessitura and other tools, create lists and queries for mailings, invitations, emails, and special events.
- Assist with cultivation and engagement efforts by securing and sending tickets to donors and board members.
- Manage, update, and create fundraising reports.
- Track development department budget and provide monthly reports.
- Work closely with Finance Department to ensure accurate recording and timely reconciliation of all gifts and reports, especially during fiscal year-end closing and audit.
- Collaborate on annual giving campaigns, major donor and online donations, and fundraising events.
- Assist with logistics for donor and fundraising events.
- Engage with and interact with board members and donors at board and donor events.
Core Competencies and Skills:
- 2-3 years of database management or related experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Tessitura or similar Customer Relationship Management System.
- Experience entering, managing, and analyzing database information.
- Experience providing analytical data reporting and insights.
- Track record of superior attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and manage simultaneous priorities.
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot table creation and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and to work independently with initiative.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Start Date: ASAP
The Database Administrator and Prospect Researcher is an on-location position with some flexibility to work from home.
