What’s the role?
The Product Marketing team at Etsy plays a critical role in driving customer growth and loyalty by developing compelling narratives and go-to-market strategies for new products and features. We partner cross-functionally to bring these innovations to market and drive engagement post-launch.
As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will work at the intersection of consumer product development and marketing. You will be leading new product go-to-market strategy, product activation, and maximizing the lifetime value of our buyers at all stages of the funnel. In this role, you will be working with product teams who are responsible for designing and building experiences within our Etsy app.
To be successful in this role, the Senior Product Marketing Manager will be a key partner in helping product teams articulate customer value and plan effective product delivery and launch, while also advocating on behalf of marketing to ensure that product road maps support marketing strategies. You’ll operate in a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Brand, Content, Analytics, Research, and Marketing to improve the buyer experience through holistic and targeted marketing design to drive trial, engagement, and retention.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Sr. Manager, Product Marketing. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?
- Drive the app-focused product marketing strategy for driving app downloads and engagement, with a focus on DAU (daily active users) and other key app metrics.
- Partner with product, marketing, and brand teams to determine how to market key app features and launches to drive adoption and engagement, especially across core global markets.
- Analyze and interpret data to assess the performance of marketing campaigns, identifying trends, insights, and opportunities to optimize app download and engagement efforts.
- Drive clear positioning and messaging that articulates the unique value of Etsy’s app for buyers, ensuring that key app benefits are communicated effectively.
- Leverage data, research, and competitive analyses to uncover insights to optimize the app experience and influence the product roadmap based on the largest opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate on marketing campaigns focused on driving app downloads and increasing app retention, working closely with channel owners and the broader marketing team.
- Set clear, measurable goals for app-focused marketing efforts, regularly tracking progress and optimizing campaigns to maximize impact.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
- 4+ years of consumer product marketing experience, preferably operating in a multi-market or global role.
- Ability to use quantitative reasoning skills to inform strategies and tell a strong narrative. Proficiency in SQL preferred.
- Strong command of quantitative and qualitative user research methods and applications, fluent in using data to make decisions, experience with growth marketing tactics, and deep experience partnering with B2C consumer product teams.
- Experience simplifying complex concepts into impactful marketing
- Track record of driving strong growth and results through product marketing strategies and campaigns
- Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams while maintaining great relationships
