Gallery Assistant

Full-Time

Staley-Wise Gallery is looking for a full-time Gallery Assistant to begin immediately.

Hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, except for a summer schedule during July and August from Monday through Friday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Attendance at exhibition openings at gallery approximately every three months from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm is also required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Working with gallery directors on a wide range of projects

Answering the phone and greeting visitors

Managing incoming emails

Preparing invoices, delivery memos, and framing labels

Preparing shipping documents

Manage gallery calendar

Taking dictation

Maintain and develop gallery’s mailings and social media presence

Managing office supplies and systems

Requirements:

Must have prior gallery experience

Must be extremely organized with excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, InDesign, and Excel

Must be an excellent multi-tasker

Must work well in fast paced environment

Must be social media savvy in a professional environment (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).

Interest and knowledge of photography
