After nearly 15 years in the fashion corporate world, Pink Chicken Founder and CEO, Stacey Fraser, decided to take a break and focus on her young daughter and new baby girl while living in NYC and spending summer weekends at the beach. During nap times, she would sew garments made of a multitude of patterns from bright block prints to 60’s florals. The spirit of sunny beach days and her love for vintage textiles came together to create easy and stylish pieces for the beach or dinner, for herself and her daughters.

Position Summary:

Pink Chicken is seeking a qualified team member to assist both our Graphic Designer and Social Media Associates. In this dual-reporting role, you will report to two different managers, splitting your time evenly between graphic design and social media responsibilities. On the graphic design side, you'll support the execution of emails, digital ads, social media assets, and retail collateral. For social media, you'll work with the team to manage the social calendar in alignment with Pink Chicken's marketing strategy and engage with the community. This position offers an exciting blend of creativity and brand communication, with approximately 50% of your focus on graphic design and 50% on social media.

Responsibilities:

Design on-brand, visually appealing marketing assets for a variety of channels, including the website, email campaigns, social media, digital ads, and retail collateral
Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to explore innovative ways to evolve the brand through graphic design and social media
Maintain a social media calendar aligned with the brand’s marketing strategy, while developing new ways to engage the community and ensuring all platforms are consistently updated with current imagery and assets
Post regularly on key platforms, including Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, while growing our presence on newer platforms
Adjusting social media postings based on key performance indicators to optimize engagement and reach
Adapt and adjust postings based on social key performance indicators
Executing social community engagement by responding to comments and feedback in a timely manner, maintaining the brand voice, and handling outbound engagement such as commenting on community posts and tags
Staying current on social media trends and implementing those that align with the Pink Chicken brand
Act as a liaison between the brand and the PR agency, ensuring they receive updated assets, communication, and brand information
Build and maintain existing relationships with influencers and brand partners, ensuring consistent and meaningful collaborations
Assist the Marketing team with a variety of projects, including collection launches, photoshoots, new store openings, giving back initiatives, and events

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant fashion/social media experience
1-3 years Graphic Design experience (internships count)
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships at all levels of the organization
Must possess strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate effectively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Deep passion and fresh perspective in both graphic design and social media, with a strong interest in fashion and aesthetics
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom), Canva, and related software
Solid understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.) and trends
Strong graphic and layout skills, with a creative mindset and keen attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Video editing and illustration experience are a plus

Compensation:

At Pink Chicken, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and specific office location.

The annual total cash compensation range is $55,000 - $58,000. However, actual pay can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies, as well as location.
