THE POSITION: We are seeking an experienced Studio Assistant to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations in our metalworking studio. This role requires expertise in metalworking and fabrication, a keen eye for detail, and strong leadership skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Software Proficiency: Use Rhinoceros 3D for design and fabrication planning.
- Safety & Operations Assistance: Maintain a safe working environment by overseeing and enforcing safety protocols for all studio activities.
- Operations Oversight: Coordinate and supervise all studio activities, ensuring team members are productive and projects are on schedule.
- Metalworking & Fabrication Expertise: Work closely with steel, aluminum, and copper in various fabrication processes.
- Shipping Coordination: Manage shipping logistics for international orders, including providing accurate dimensions and weights of completed pieces.
- Open Calls: Coordinate and manage open calls for new projects and collaborations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols.
- Proven experience in studio management or a related field.
- Proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D is essential.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
