This is a job for a director located in the Tupelo, MS area.
Job Summary: The Director is responsible to the Regional Vice President for the overall administration of the facility. The administrator will ensure that each resident of the facility is provided with cost-efficient, service-oriented programs in an effective and professional manner.
Responsibilities: Responsible for complying with all agency policies and applicable procedures. Responsible for all physical plant requirements within the facility. Responsible for all program requirements within the facility. Responsible for all personnel requirements within the facility including, but not limited to, recruiting and training new staff. Responsible for all fiscal requirements within the facility including, but not limited to, compiling all required documentation and ensuring the accuracy of monthly billing. Responsible for oversight of FreshStart Client Management System including, but not limited, to billing and subsistence. Responsible for maintenance of a volunteer program. Responsible for maintenance of a Community Relations Advisory Board. Responsible for scheduling & oversight of substance abuse testing. Responsible for timely submission of all necessary evaluations, records, reports, correspondence, and statistical information. Responsible for attending and participating in all meetings as required. Responsible for initiating and maintaining cooperative and effective liaison activities with community groups and professional associations. Responsible for the development and management of a positive work environment. Communicates emergencies and/or unusual circumstances to the Regional Vice President and/or corporate staff as appropriate. In the event of a work stoppage, the Director will work all hours necessary to man the center. Performs all other work duties as may be assigned by the Regional Vice President.
Qualifications: A four-year degree in a social or behavioral science program from an accredited college or university, two years of work experience in a related field, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory position. Work experience in a related field may be substituted for academic studies on a year-to-year basis. Total work experience needed in lieu of the combination of education and work experience is six years, with two of the years in a supervisory position. Must have personal computer (PC) work experience using Windows 2000 or XP operating systems. Work experience should include Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Word and Excel applications. Should understand basic PC concepts (files, file paths, copying and pasting, deleting, and moving files) as well as the operation of common office machinery. The candidate must also have good typing, spelling, grammar, organizational, and phone skills.
