Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Heath Equity Impact. The position is located in New Brunswick, NJ.
The Global Health Equity team advances equitable access to quality care through championing nurses and community health workers, enabling community-centered and culturally conscious care, and supporting access to our medicines and technologies. We track and report impact data against certain metrics to external constituents, and must ensure the data provided is accurate and that the process of gathering it follows audit guidelines.
Position Summary
The Senior Manager will take a leadership role, with others in the department, to promote strategic development or re-deployment of GHE monitoring and evaluation efforts.
Blending strong internal capabilities with creative, external perspectives, the successful candidate will champion new avenues that demonstrate breakthrough thinking and efficiency. With direct access to senior executives, this individual will lead highly visible projects that will have a significant impact on the direction and performance of Global Health Equity’s programmatic portfolio. He/she will lead problem solving and progress against targets, including non-financial analysis and optimization to ensure flawlessly of data capturing, accuracy and consistency.
The Senior Manager, Global Health Equity Impact role focuses on 2 critical areas:
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (50%)
In order to ensure J&J achieves its impact goals, we need to preform ongoing analysis of the data our partners provide, run modeling exercises to determine possible watch-outs or opportunities to accelerate progress, and work with the Countries to course correct plans as appropriate.
The Senior Manager will provide PMO support needed to ensure GHE achieves its programmatic impact goals, by (1) Obtaining and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of program impact data from partners, (2) Designing, modifying and/or maintaining tools and scorecards, in partnership with Strategic Advisors, external vendor(s), and contractors that facilitate the appropriate tracking and reporting of data to report against targets, (3) In partnership with M&E agency, analyze information received from the regions to determine significant performance drivers and obstacles, and identify activities/strategies needed to keep J&J on track to achieve goals, (4) Utilizing analytics to support divisions/sectors’ development of innovative ideas for achieving social impact goals.
The “information infrastructure” needed to effectively operationalize our reporting practices is in development, and we need to mobilize our partners with the information and insights needed to achieve our targets.
Chief of Staff, Social Impact & Partnerships Leadership Team (50%)
This individual will serve as primary project manager for leading and managing strategy development and implementation for the Social Impact and Partnerships Leadership team, facilitate development of tools and rollout and brainstorm/action plans across the LT. Specifically, he/she will be required to demonstrate breakthrough thinking as he/she works directly with senior executives to:
- Lead thinking on development and implementation of Social Impact & Partnerships strategy

Assess scorecarding approaches across different functions within Social Impact and Partnerships team.

Interact with subject-matter-experts (at executive and non-executive levels) across the GHE organization to determine country capabilities and region-specific needs

Influence and align the POV of executives leading commitment execution activities on critical activities and their consistent enforcement

Create best practices, guidelines and lead implementation plans.
(2) Develop and rollout analytical tools and processes needed to support execution of strategy

Assess current tools’ ability to meet standards. Modify existing and create new tools as needed to ensure standards are met.

Train/assist Leadership team to utilize tools properly and follow submission protocols
-
Identify opportunities to leverage common tools and processes, develop recommendation that enhances efficiencies i.e., frequency, best practice sharing, automation, centralization
(3) Data Analysis

Present data analysis to LT and facilitate understanding of influence factors for consideration in action planning

Analyze results to determine significant performance drivers and obstacles, identify priority opportunity areas and work with extended teams to develop action plans to improve results
Qualifications
Required:

The successful candidate should have 10 years (minimum 3 years post MBA/MPH) of project management, performance management experience

Salary
The base pay range for this position is $118,000 - $203,550 USD
Bonus
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
