This is a Job Description for a Senior Systems Engineer in Gulfport, Mississippi
Summary: Works directly with technology in the requirements review, design, installation, maintenance for distributed systems hardware and software primarily focused on discretionary projects. Provides expert level technical assistance and project leadership. Deep understanding of Linux operating systems (i.e., Red Hat, CentOS, Oracle Linux, etc.). May provide Tier 3 senior level support when other avenues are exhausted.
Performs the following duties.
Duties & Responsibilities: Planning, documenting, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Dell and HP servers and blades, Windows and Linux operating systems, Ansible, and Gitlab, Active Directory, RH IDM, DNS, MS Exchange, PowerShell. Troubleshooting / Managing Runtime Servers, Application Servers. Installing, configuring, administering, implementing and performance tuning clustered environments. Installing and Configuring Mule ESB, Mule Management Console. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration. Engineers' solutions based upon the functional requirements and technical designs provided by the vendor. Architects and designs distributed infrastructure solutions aligned with technology strategy, discretionary projects, and other demands. Utilizes 3rd party technology resources and consultants as approved by the Distributed Systems Manager or the Open System Manager and utilizes as needed. Share knowledge and seek guidance of others in difficult situations. Research, test, implement, and document new technologies to improve efficiency, automation, competitiveness, and communication. It has solid servers, virtualization, storage, network, database, development, and security understanding. Recognizes established service level agreements aligned to the solutions delivery process and works to meet those agreements. Provides level 3 assistance and expert knowledge when necessary, adhering to existing support processes.
