The International Tax Intern at Rackspace Technology will assist the international tax department in the preparation of federal tax returns, help with the preparation of quarterly tax provisions, assist with Transfer Pricing compliance, support team in setting up new foreign subsidiaries, support team on special projects, maintain company tax records and files, and perform research related to tax filings, tax planning, and other claims. Must have availability to work up to 25 hours a week Monday through Friday during regular business hours (Between 8 am CT and 6 pm CT) at our San Antonio office 2 days a week. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE - Basic knowledge of accounting and tax areas of a business. - Skilled in math and financial spreadsheet application. - Good time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills. JOB COMPLEXITY - Assists with the preparation of U.S. federal and international transactional tax returns. - Prepares and updates statistical and financial reports on a regular and specially assigned basis. - Maintains company tax records and files. - Performs tax research as needed. - Operates under close supervision, with careful review of completed assignments. EXPERIENCE - Junior or Senior student pursuing a Bachelor's degree or a student pursuing a Master’s degree in accounting, tax or finance. - Experience with tax compliance and tax research tools is preferred. - Additional qualifications include a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). - Detail-oriented and well-organized individual with excellent verbal and written skills.
