We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. As Corporate Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, advising on global labor and employment law matters, managing confidential legal projects, and providing support to various business units within the company. Key Responsibilities - Manage compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including data protection, labor, and employment laws. - Consult on global labor and employment law matters, providing guidance and support to the Guidewire People Team and management teams. - Oversee and manage confidential legal projects, including contract negotiations, intellectual property matters, and regulatory compliance. - Provide legal support and guidance to various business units, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corporate policies and procedures. - Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to advise on potential impacts and opportunities. - Handle Privacy-related matters, including data privacy compliance, GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations. Qualifications - Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. - Admission to the bar of at least one state. - Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment or technology company. - Strong knowledge of corporate policies, procedures, and best practices. - Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
