The YouVersion Volunteer Leader is primarily responsible for developing and executing strategies for the volunteer experience. This role will work cross-functionally with the YouVersion Volunteer Leaders(staff) andtheir teams on recruiting volunteers, overseeing volunteer onboarding and training, volunteer span of care, and creating systems to support the volunteer team. This role supports the team’s direction, initiatives, and ministry efforts to achieve outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ. What You'll Do - Collaborate with YouVersion teams to understand needs and ensure recruitment efforts are aligned with team needs. - Partner with Marketing, Creative, and Volunteer Operations teams to implement recruitment strategy. - Establish an annual volunteer engagement survey, analyze results, share report with the team, and collaborate on strategies for improvement. - Create and scale volunteer recruitment processes to ensure processes are efficient and effective. Create a volunteer portal to bring current volunteer sites into a shared ecosystem. - Collaborate with Volunteer Leaders(staff)and Volunteer Operations team to implement a unified orientation process. - Partner with the Volunteer Operations team to create a source hub for Volunteer Leaders(staff)to reference policy and procedure documents, along with access to a variety of useful tools that will support Staff Members as they care for their volunteer teams. - Manage emails from volunteers during the onboarding process. Lead regular Volunteer Leaders(staff)collaboration meetings. - Plan and execute organization-wide YouVersion volunteer communications and events strategy. - Lead volunteer appreciation strategy and manage inventory, shipments, and budget allocation. - Provide development, feedback, encouragement, and coaching to ensure all volunteers are equipped with the necessary toolsneeded to be successful. - Plan and execute strategy to empower volunteers to be YouVersion evangelists in their churches and communities. Skills Needed to Succeed - Excellent at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects. - Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and solve problems. - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain relationships and partnerships. - Utilizes strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems, identify underlying issues, and develop effective solutions in a dynamic work environment. - Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change. - High School Diploma or GED. - 1-3 years related work experience.
