Well-established art advisory is looking to hire an intern who is available to begin

the week of January 6th. This is a paid position with a 3-month minimum commitment.

Candidates must be available to come into the office two or three days a week from 10am-6pm. Our office is located in Midtown. The intern will acquire transferable skills through the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Data Entry

• Work with database manager in entering offered works in the database

Fair & Exhibition Tracking

• Update calendar with exhibition opening dates and art fair dates

• Maintain current spreadsheet of global gallery and museum exhibitions, checking

against the websites to make sure no dates have changed

Auctions

• Watch live auctions

• Assist with tracking auction results, create excel reports tracking the lots’

performances in the major sales

• Assist with maintaining the auction calendar

Qualifications:

• Some gallery or auction house experience preferred

• Knowledge of contemporary art, art institutions, and the art market

• High attention to detail and organization and a resourceful and professional

decorum

• Great communication skills and collaborative attitude

• Computer savvy, adept at learning a new database quickly and experience with

data entry

• Efficient at time management and has a strong sense for prioritizing tasks

Compensation

$16 Hourly
