Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Movie & TV Critic and based in NYC to join our team. The ideal candidate has a deep appreciation for movies across genres, excellent communication skills, and the ability to express nuanced opinions in a concise manner. Requirements

NYC-based and able to attend screenings and interviews multiple times per week
Proven experience as a writer, movie critic, reviewer, or similar role, with a portfolio of published articles (or equivalent)
A passion for cinema and a deep love for movies across a wide range of genres
In-depth knowledge of film history, genres, and industry trends
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Journalism, or a related field
Active presence on social media platforms with a focus on film-related discussions
Familiarity with SEO best practices for online content
Existing relationships with PR for screeners and interview access is a plus
Experience writing movie and TV related news content

Technical requirements

A computer with a high-quality webcam and microphone for virtual interviews
