Company Overview: TALAS, a growing manufacturer and distributor of bookbinding and art conservation supplies, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Warehouse Associate to join our hard-working team at our Brooklyn location. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the handling and packing of specialized art supplies for outgoing orders, as well as operating custom manufacturing equipment.

Job Description: As a Warehouse Associate at TALAS, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your responsibilities will include assembling freight shipments, receiving and shipping both domestic and international orders, and completing various warehouse tasks as assigned by management. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn about TALAS and the broader field of specialty art supplies

Key Responsibilities:

Handle and pack unique art supplies for outgoing orders with precision and care.
Operate custom manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely.
Assemble freight shipments and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
Receive incoming shipments and conduct inventory checks.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
Knowledge of art conservation and bookbinding is a plus but not required.
Strong work ethic with a commitment to maintaining clean and efficient work habits.
Ability to learn new tasks quickly and effectively.
Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Team player with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs using appropriate tools.
Capable of standing for extended periods throughout the shift.
Comfortable using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and specialized tools.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not mandatory.
