Job Description

Real Estate Company is looking for an Accountant to support our Commercial Office portfolio and Development teams.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

-Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.

-Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.

-Reconcile all General Ledger accounts for accuracy.

-Perform monthly/daily bank reconciliation on assigned accounts

-Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.

-Variance Analysis and assist in Budgeting process

-Prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to monthly close process.

-Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures

-Prepare commercial escalations

-Oversee accounting team assisting in year-end tax workpapers and trial balances

-Oversee accounting team assisting in gathering audit backup and preparing audit workpapers

-Oversee accounting team assisting in annual budget processing

-Maintaining correspondence and reporting to partners & third parties is very important

-Ad-hoc reporting

Requirements for Applicants:

Accounting Degree

3-4 years’ experience in public accounting or real estate firm

Experience working with Auditors and Accountants to prepare year end financials and tax reporting workpapers.

Prior work experience in an office environment
