The ClimateTech team sits at the intersection of finance and climate innovation - the team identifies and executes on cutting-edge ideas by formulating strategy, engaging in strategic partnerships, and investing in innovative ClimateTech companies.
We are looking for a NYC-based Associate to join our mission in powering the future of ClimateTech by making the best and boldest ideas reality in one of the most dynamic and high-growth areas of our CIB. An ideal candidate is one who brings a collaborative and positive attitude with a deep interest in climate innovation, and with previous experience in strategy, investing or building products.
Job Responsibilities
Research and analyze industry landscapes to evaluate new opportunities, identify emerging trends and refine investment theses.
Source potential investment opportunities in ClimateTech.
Conduct thorough due diligence on investment prospects.
Assist in negotiating strategic partnerships and investments with ClimateTech companies.
Create presentation materials for senior stakeholders.
Develop relationships with internal functional partners and CIB business partners.
Engage with ClimateTech companies, VC investors, and the broader climate community.
Participate in industry events to network with the broader ecosystem and identify emerging trends.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
3-5 years of experience in investment banking, markets, PE/VC, startups, management consulting, or strategy in the public sector.
Strong interest in climate and climate innovation.
Proficiency in quantitative storytelling, financial modeling, and data analysis.
Ability to develop and convey compelling value propositions.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
Collaborative, creative, and execution-oriented personal operating style.
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
