Overview
The Product Compliance Analyst will play an integral role in supporting Burlington’s Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance Center of Excellence. In this role, you will support end to end process and procedures that ensure products imported by Burlington are compliant with US Federal, State and regional requirements, as well as Burlington’s own standards for safety and quality.
A Day in the Life:
Product Testing, Quality & Regulatory Compliance

Create and maintain master style tracker for record keeping of product test reports, Certificates of Compliance and other related compliance documents.

Assist department with follow-up on outstanding test reports and compliance documents as needed.

Maintain process for CPSC GCCs/ CPCs
-
Manage PO hold process for styles missing test reports and/ or certificates of compliance.

Establish metrics and create reporting tools to assess vendor performance and product compliance.

Assist management with creating, updating and disseminating department manuals and SOPs for product safety, chemical compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain a process for department document distribution and vendor acknowledgement.

Work cross functionally to update and maintain product compliance portal.

Support product recall process.

Actively monitor US Federal, State and Regional activity related to product safety and chemical regulations. Provide summary to leadership, make recommendations, and support execution of compliance strategies.
Training & Process Improvement

Coordinate department trainings, vendor trainings, onboarding meetings, workshops, etc.

Participate in new vendor onboarding meetings.

Seek opportunities to utilize technology to streamline department processes and procedures to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Attend industry workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.to enhance knowledge of emerging product safety and regulatory requirements.
Audits

Manage store audit process and procedures.

Ensure audits are conducted according to PLC, meetings are arranged to review findings and reports are issued accordingly.
You’ll Come With:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a corporate retail Product Safety/ Integrity, & Quality role.

Knowledge of consumer goods test methods and testing requirements.

Knowledge of key US safety and chemical regulations, such as CPSIA, CA Prop 65, Children’s Products reporting rules, etc.

The ability to cultivate relationships with internal and external business partners.

Ability to work independently and leverage resources to solve problems and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
