DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Coordinate and synthesize joint work product across multi-disciplinary investment banking teams including industry groups, mergers and acquisitions group, debt and equity capital markets groups, tax and deal structure groups, and other core banking functions. Perform detailed quality control of financial and strategic analytics prepared by deal teams to ensure accuracy on short timeframes. Generate financial reports and analytical inputs by leveraging financial data tools. Generate client presentations. Attend client meetings and present comprehensive financial and strategic analytics, and answer questions regarding analytical inputs as well as output consequences. Develop strategic recommendations for client banking needs based on the healthcare industry and the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors specifically.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Healthcare Investment Banking Associate, M&A Investment Banking Associate, Investment Banker, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Healthcare Investment Banking Associate, M&A Investment Banking Associate, Investment Banker, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: coordinating multi-disciplinary investment banking functions including industry coverage, capital markets, mergers and acquisition, and deal structuring; overseeing financial and strategic analytical processes by teams of junior investment banking professionals; performing quality control of financial and strategic analytical outputs for presentation to biopharmaceutical companies; assessing global biopharmaceutical therapeutic areas by stage of development; assessing global biopharmaceutical product technologies by modality; GAAP accounting and corporate finance as applicable to US private and public pharmaceutical and biotech companies; biopharmaceutical debt capital markets deal structuring, pricing, and execution; biopharmaceutical equity capital markets deal structuring, pricing, and execution; merger modeling and other merger consequence financial analytics including accretion and dilution, de-leveraging, growth, and margins as applied to pharmaceutical and biotech companies; biopharmaceutical operational modeling of cashflow scenarios and capital formation requirements and alternatives.
Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10179. This position requires up to 40% domestic and international travel.
Full-Time. Salary: $260,000 - $275,000 per year.
