WPP IT’s Platform Services team govern, design & deliver Creative technology platforms for WPP, through global, product-centric teams. We power the growth and transformation of WPP by providing the means to integrate the business and move to more of a ProServ business model, and by delivering innovative, agile, and human-centred solutions to complex business problems, using world-class, modern engineering methods and DevOps tooling.
WPP IT is undergoing a significant transformation to modernise ways of working, shift to cloud and micro-service-based architectures, drive automation, digitise colleague and client experiences and deliver insight from WPP’s petabytes of data.
As we continue on this journey, we are seeking an experienced Platforms Business Analyst to join our team.
The Platforms Business Analyst will help onboard WPP agency teams onto the platform, documenting the Agency teams’ needs and helping our Platform Architects document the solutions we deploy for those teams.
What you'll be doing:
• We require a strong and proven Business Analyst, with a solid understanding of SAAS environments and how they are used in the software development pipeline.
• You will be adept at process definition, gathering business requirements and translating these into technical requirements.
• You will have a strong ability to gather requirements and speak confidently to colleagues at both technical and senior business level.
• You will be adept at documenting and implementing new processes
• You will be comfortable producing and presenting presentation documents in a professional and succinct manner to senior stakeholders and be able to articulate clear options
• You will work closely with, and develop good relationships with our team of Project Managers, Platform Architects, Support Engineers, as well as the wider team, and a great number of other stakeholders
• You will participate in building out technical and nontechnical communication to stakeholders
• You will support the project managers and the team’s other leadership team members on projectrelated activities including weekly/monthly tracking and reporting, RAID management, actions tracking, benefits tracking and finance management.
• You will support several technical workstreams, including deployment/cutover in the run up to and during golive and hypercare, including logging of defects and other issues, as well as lessons learned throughout.
• Support Change & Adoption workstreams in relation to the “tobe” process.
• Support Service Design & Transition in ensuring appropriate requirements/documentation are shared with members of multiple Agency and WPP IT functions
What you'll need:
• The ability to quickly learn and understand new business environments; strong planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills Strong analytic skills including the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into requirements
• Experience of producing high quality documentation
• Proven stakeholder management skills working with all levels of an organization
• Experience in working in cloud-based project environments
• Experience in successful user engagement, shaping and implementing readiness activities
• Demonstrable experience of agile and traditional business analysis techniques - business process modelling, scenarios, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, etc.
• Extensive experience working with software development teams (agile/scrum, onshore and offshore), products owners, end users and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and business adoption of new technology
• Experience working with an agile backlog, including creating and maintaining user stories and acceptance criteria
• Good understanding of processes relating to creative services and ability to define new processes
• Experience of working with global teams in large scale, high complexity environment.
