NEW YORK, NY (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A wonderful family in Chelsea is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and experienced full-time nanny to care for their 3.5-month-old son. This is a live-out position with the need for flexibility, ideal for a professional with a background in early childhood development who is knowledgeable about infant care and nurturing developmental milestones.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 am - 6 pm, with flexibility for occasional overnights and weekends as needed. The family would also be looking for support for late-night date nights when staying in the city. Overnight accommodations are provided, with a private room and bathroom in their New York residence and a private bedroom and bathroom in their Hamptons home.
The family resides full-time in the Hamptons during July and August, and they seek a nanny willing to live in with them during those months, as well as travel with them to the Hamptons 1-2 weekends per month.
Key qualities in their ideal candidate include strong English skills, patience, a calm demeanor, and a motivated personality with ideas on engaging and stimulating an infant. A background in early childhood development is highly desirable, as is an understanding of age-appropriate activities. The family values a kind, gentle, and attentive caregiver who can support their son’s growth in a warm and nurturing environment.
Requirements for this position include up-to-date COVID, Tdap, and flu vaccinations, as well as comfort around pets, as the household has two cats. Flexibility for one overnight per week is also requested. Their baby currently follows a regular sleep and nap schedule, sleeping from 7 pm to 5 am with three naps during the day.
The position offers a starting hourly rate of $30+/hr gross via payroll, with benefits included(PTO + Paid Holidays + Sick Days). The target start date is December 8, 2024, following the completion of support from a baby nurse on December 7.
BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study
CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)
Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
