Frames and Stretchers ( www.framesandstretchers.com ) is a really cool Custom Frame Shop in the Lower East Side serving mid to high-end collectors, artists, and galleries. We also do white glove art delivery and installations.
We’re looking for an experienced Custom Framer /Canvas Stretcher / Art handler to help us grow our thriving business and better serve our customers.
The job will require:
27-35 hours per week
4-5 days of the week
Requirements/Skills:
Vast Experience in Custom Framing / Art Handling
Experience floating and hinging delicate works on paper
Experience in Canvas Stretching
Cut + Join Experience
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and stay organized to meet deadlines
Desire to work independently and capable of taking initiative on specific projects

Compensation:
- Commensurate with experience / Part-time Permanent / approx 27-35 hours per week. More hours for special projects will be available
