Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the non-profit sector based in New York, New York, United States. The role is hybrid in nature, blending both remote and on-site work. The specialist will be tasked with key responsibilities in credit and collections processes, accounts receivable, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement an efficient process for accounts receivable and billing statements
• Handle collections for multiple accounts, ensuring timely and accurate payments
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and CRM tools to track and manage customer accounts
• Conduct regular account reconciliations to maintain accurate records
• Respond to customer inquiries related to billing and collections
• Leverage the Epic Software system for managing and monitoring customer accounts
• Utilize ADP - Financial Services for financial reporting and analysis
• Administer claims while adhering to Collection Processes
• Answer inbound calls, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly
• Utilize Accurint tool for data analysis and accounts management. Requirements • Minimum of two years' experience in a Collections Specialist role or a similar position in a non-profit organization
• Proficiency in accounting software systems
• Familiarity with Accurint and ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with CRM and Epic Software
• Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Account Reconciliation
• Ability to efficiently manage billing functions and claim administration
• Knowledge of collection processes and collections
• Comfortable with answering inbound calls
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
