Project Manager – Art Handling & Installation

Aiston Fine Art Services, an expanding fine art transportation, logistics, and storage company, is seeking skilled, responsible, and experienced candidates for Project Manager positions.

Responsibilities:

Oversee a team of art handlers and coordinate installation, deinstallation, and transport projects.
Manage offsite projects, ensuring timely delivery, proper handling of artworks, and overall project execution.
Develop detailed plans and schedules for upcoming jobs, coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Act as the primary point of contact for all onsite and offsite installations, addressing any issues that arise and adjusting plans as necessary.
Collaborate closely with management to ensure jobs are scoped accurately, timelines are realistic, and resources are allocated appropriately.
Train both existing team members and new hires in art handling, installation protocols, and safety procedures.
Oversee paperwork, labeling, and record-keeping.
Ensure proper handling and packing of art objects.
Install and deinstall artwork on location.
Conduct site specs.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years experience as an art handler.
Minimum of 2 years experience as a a lead art handler, crew chief, and/or project manager.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Experience training staff in handling, installation, and safety practices.
Knowledge of art handling, packing procedures, and installation.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, management, and staff.
Presentable appearance.

Preferred Qualifications (Higher Starting Wage):

Ability to drive a box truck, with knowledge of ELD and DOT regulations.
Experience with condition checking artworks (Articheck preferred, but not required).

Compensation:

Pay is based on past employment, experience, and references.
Weekly pay.
Overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Most employees average 40-50 hours weekly.
Performance review and potential for pay increase after six months.
