1100 Architect provides architectural design, programming, space analysis, interior design, and master planning services to public and private clients. The firm works around the world and in different markets, including educational, cultural, commercial, residential, and civic.
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Graphic Designer to join our New York team.
As the ideal candidate, you will be a creative thinker with a superior attention to detail, a strong sense of self-motivation, and be open to feedback in order to refine and perfect design deliverables. You will be a part of our Marketing team, and collaborate with senior leadership and other team members to:
- Produce high-quality, impactful designs for proposal packages, brochures, newsletters, flyers, website updates, and marketing materials in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
- Understand project objectives and translate ideas and technical details into creating engaging visuals for proposals and presentations, including infographics, charts, and design collateral;
- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring designs meet company standards and deadlines;
- Develop documents layouts with a strong grasp of principles of effective layout design, including use of alignment, contrast, scale, and white space, with an exacting eye for detail;
- Create and update InDesign templates for company-wide use;
- Review and proofread materials to ensure they are error-free and compliant with 1100 Architect’s standards;
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends to inform and improve design strategies.
The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, be passionate about their craft, and possess the following qualifications:
- Have a genuine interest in architecture and design;
- 3+ years of experience as a graphic designer (AEC industry experience a plus);
- Expert in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Powerpoint;
- Ability to collaborate with a team as well as work autonomously;
- Have excellent organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment;
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or an applicable field.
