As the Sr DevOps Engineer at NIQ Activate, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented DevOps engineers. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities including Cloud, infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, developer experience utilities, delivery automation, open-source solution research, durability - backup & restore, Security operations, disaster recovery, and general problem solving.
You will be expected to dive deep and identify failure patterns to resolve problems at their root, provide high-performance cloud deployment solutions, maintain rapid deployment pipelines, server monitoring, and troubleshooting. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure for developer’s environments to increase efficiency and productivity and centralizing our logging and monitoring solutions.
Requirements - A Must
B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 6 years of experience as a DevOps engineer, with a minimum of 3 years in a Senior role
Proven experience with at least one cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configuration
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems
Experience in deploying, configuring, and optimizing database systems, including but not limited to PostgreSQL and SingleStore
Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for seamless and efficient software delivery
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
Proficient in Kubernetes architecture, deployment and administration
Hands-on experience in writing automation scripts using Python/ Alternatives to streamline deployment and operational tasks
Ability to work hybrid mode in our office in Yokneam / Toronto
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with monitoring stack like Grafana, Loki and Prometheus Knowledge of Jenkins, Maven, GitHub Action, ArgoCD, NX
Experience in implementing cloud security solutions
Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar
