Client's Corporate Affairs & Engagement team is looking for a dedicated communications manager to join our fast-paced Reputational Issues & Crisis Communications team. This critical role supports client's commitment to being a responsible company by ensuring all external communication partnerships align with our ethical standards and brand values. You will play a key role in the influencer process, working with our specialized investigative agency to review potential partners and identify potential reputational, social, and cultural risks. This role provides the opportunity to learn the intricacies of influencer marketing in a global company while contributing directly to client's commitment to ethical and responsible brand partnerships.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the company’s brand ambassador values matching program
Provide insightful recommendations to executive leadership regarding influencer suitability, ensuring alignment with brand and company values.
Conduct ongoing social listening and spokespeople monitoring, leading and contributing to the development of timely and insightful reports that inform key business actions and communication strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our internal influencer vetting platform, managing user access, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the onboarding of new users.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the platform, ensuring all influencer data is properly documented and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Foster strong relationships with brand teams, finance, and external agencies to maintain a seamless and efficient workflow.
Stay abreast of the ever-evolving societal and political landscape, remaining informed on current events, cultural sensitivities, and potential influencer controversies to proactively mitigate reputational risks.
Support the Head of Reputational Issues & Crisis on special projects as needed.
Key Competencies
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
Preferred experience in media relations, public affairs, crisis communications, and/or multi-faceted corporate communications role.
Someone who possesses a high level of professionalism, excellent judgement and critical thinking skills, can maintain confidential information and work with senior-level management with maturity and sensitivity.
Familiarity with current political, social, and cultural events.
Familiarity with popular Internet culture, influencers and celebrities.
Extreme attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and properly prioritize workload.
Solid understanding of business dynamics and ability to work at the highest levels in a corporate environment.
Ability to quickly learn and use new IT platforms and tools.
