This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank's corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives.
As a Finance & Business Management, Vice President - Corporate Strategy, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business head and optimizes business performance by helping to drive key initiatives and is responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.
Job responsibilities
Support the business heads in managing the Corporate Strategy team through presentations and special projects, resolving day-to-day queries or issues
Support business heads with team-specific talent management and development priorities (e.g. Talent Reviews, feedback processes, training outside of the x-Strategy curriculum, coaching / performance matters)
Manage budgeting & expense management processes, expense tracking and reporting, working closely with the management team and Planning & Analysis to ensure accurate and consistent reporting
Manage Real Estate and workforce strategy initiatives, working closely with Global Real Estate
Oversee leadership team agendas, priorities, meetings, town halls, team off-sites and follow ups
Coordinate the Firmwide Strategy Training Curriculum, supplementing firmwide learning resources with strategy-specific content, in partnership with Human Resources
Coordinate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion related initiatives for Strategy in partnership with Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; have a seat at the Strategy Diversity Council
Maintain close engagement with LOB and Functional Strategy Leaders and business and functional support partners for visibility and sponsorship of x-Strategy Training and People Agenda programs
Coordinate with firmwide strategy, business, and functional personnel to maintain agendas, priorities, and follow-ups for upcoming executive meetings and monthly Strategy Leaders meetings
Maintain a complete and robust list of firmwide war rooms and executive reporting
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
8+ years in finance, business management, project management, human resources and/or operations in a large corporate environment
Great time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High level of professionalism and commitment
Superior collaboration and strong attention to details
Comfortable introducing and facilitating conversations on social topics
High proficiency in Excel, Word & Power Point
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Prior experience within finance or at a management consulting firm
