Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Partner closely with the CEO to revitalize and enhance clinical operations in alignment with Hospital’s ambitious long-term vision.
- Planning & Execution: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous monitoring of the hospital’s strategic plan. Set and track progress with robust KPIs to ensure goal alignment across the organization.
- Market & Performance Analysis: Stay ahead of healthcare trends, community needs, and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions that advance patient and provider experience.
- Service Expansion & Business Growth: Identify new service lines, partnerships, and business opportunities, ensuring a robust return on investment and alignment with the hospital’s enterprise strategy.
- Community Engagement: Oversee the hospital Community Needs Assessment, integrating patient and community feedback to inform strategic direction and address emerging health needs.
- Innovation Strategy: Develop and implement an innovation roadmap, investing in new technology and services that add value for patients and support community health goals.
- Resource & Budget Management: Collaborate with finance leadership to allocate resources effectively, ensuring each strategic initiative is adequately funded and achieves desired outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present regular updates on strategic initiatives to key stakeholders, facilitating understanding and engagement across the hospital community.
Qualifications
- Strategic & Operational Expertise: Minimum of 3 years in a senior strategic role within healthcare, with proven success in strategic planning and operational improvement.
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; MBA highly preferred.
- Leadership in Healthcare Innovation: Skilled in healthcare data analytics, performance improvement methodologies, and familiarity with emerging industry trends.
- Communication & Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and public speaking skills to engage with executives, clinical leaders, and external partners.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in Profit & Loss leadership and strategic budget management, particularly in a healthcare setting.
- Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to evaluate risks, identify innovative solutions, and deliver measurable results.
