The Work:
The Project Scheduler is responsible for working closely with technical experts, project leads and project managers in planning, creating, and managing project schedules.
Job Requirements:
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
This position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico and future relocation may be required.
Consulting with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks
Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system
Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
Monitoring project timelines and deadlines
Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner
Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports
Accommodating updates and changes to project schedules
Recommending actions to keep project timelines and deadlines
Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records
Develop and provide project schedule related reports including schedule quality assessments, earned value, cashflow forecasts and risks
Here’s what you need:
Bachelor’s degree in business or Technical Field
Minimum of 5 - 8 years related scheduling experience, or in lieu of bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 9– 12 years relevant scheduling experience is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience and proficiency in using PC software and mainframe computer applications such as Excel, Access, Power Point, MS Project, Asset suite 8, Primavera P6
Bonus points if:
Ability to build a schedule from an estimate, Project Diagram, or verbal Scope of Work
Strong analytical skills and evaluation techniques
Extensive experience in schedule planning and management
In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the industry
Advanced ability to evaluate schedule quality, project progress and facilitate interventions
Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize a variety of independent assignments and meet deadlines
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management
Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate meetings, problem solve and drive to resolution
Ability to schedule and facilitate project meetings with all stakeholders in office or field environment
Ability to work flexible hours and in field construction sites
Ability to handle conflict
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
