Position Overview
Room Attendants provide daily service to our guestrooms and suites to ensure that they are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. General cleaning and special projects may be assigned when needed. A friendly, courteous, and professional manner and attention to detail are some of the essential characteristics we seek in a colleague. JOB FUNCTION, TASKS, And RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow payroll and key sign-out procedures.
- The ability to read and understand the work report/room assignment sheet.
- The ability to pick up and ensure the bucket/caddy is adequately and properly stocked.
- Clean, dust, sanitize and supply (including amenities) all guest rooms (including bathrooms) assigned daily, according to procedure.
- Make beds and vacuum the floors in a guest room.
- Ensure cleanliness and comfort of guest rooms prior to evening occupancy.
- Handle a “do not disturb” room and any call backs.
- Maintain corridors clean, neat and free of litter in all assigned areas.
- Retrieve and maintain the linen closet in a clean, neat and orderly fashion.
- Restock armoires of all supplies and equipment at the end of a shift.
- Remove, when necessary, room service dishes to the service area.
- Maintain pars established in all guest rooms for linens, supplies and furniture.
- Report any damage or repairs needed in assigned areas.
- Assume possession of hotel pass keys during a shift and keep them secure.
- Observe uniform and dress standards on a daily basis.
- Offer any assistance possible to guests.
- Employ proper use and maintenance of all equipment and supplies.
- Respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS And REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must have two years of previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills needed
- Must take direction well and display a “can-do” attitude
- Must be able to work all shifts
- Must be detail oriented
Physical Requirements

Repetitions
- Hands/knees for cleaning bathroom and shower floor
- Repetitive shoulder motions through full range for cleaning shower, changing bedding, reaching for pillows in closet
- Gross grasp, weight bearing on hands
- Repetitive gripping to squeeze cleaner containers
- Repetitive forward bend, squatting, kneeling, half-kneeling for all cleaning tasks
Sensory: * Sight necessary to ensure everything is cleaned properly
- Workers work at top speed; movements are almost aerobic-like in quality.

PM Room Attendant Schedule: 3PM - 11PM
