The Learning & Development Coordinator will support the design, development, and implementation of blended-learning experiences by using dynamic methodologies to enhance learning and development across the Bergdorf Goodman organization.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work in partnership with the L&D team to assess the needs of the organization by partnering with pyramid leaders and SMEs.
- Create learning journeys with curriculum and content that encourages individual development and engagement tied to company strategic goals.
- Execute and facilitate engaging learning experiences that educate all associates on our brand, the customer experience, our culture, and importantly how to enhance self and career development.
- Design and delivery must be on-brand, engaging, compelling and incorporate the power of storytelling to enhance both in-person and virtual learning experiences.
- Support the development of learning objectives, structure learning activities, create visual aids for training and align with appropriate methodologies necessary to achieve an impact that resonates with adult learning.
- Evolve and deliver a best-in-class onboarding and new hire orientation program.
- Innovation is key – must remain relentlessly up to date with emerging and future trends in learning and learning technology, across all relevant industries to develop best in class solutions.
- Create assessments, such as quizzes and surveys, to measure the effectiveness of learning experiences.
- Nurture an environment that rewards curiosity and the exploration of learning for individual and team growth to enhance the customer (internal and external) experience and the overall culture of our brand.
- Help with planning, managing and maintaining all projects and course documentation in folders, in our Learning Management System and on SharePoint.

- Represents the brand voice, style and culture of Bergdorf Goodman and conveys a passion for the brand and exceptional selling and service through engaging and inspiring facilitation of content to our teams.
- Ability to engage during learning – lead and facilitate sessions, check for understanding and support with additional technology as needed.
- A relationship builder who collaborates closely with all cross-functional partners and SMEs and is open to receiving feedback to better support the organization's learning needs.
- Leads with an open mind and a growth mindset, with a desire for learning, staying agile and nimble to the changing needs of the organization, and contributing to new ways of learning and working.
Requirements:
- Three+ years in learning, training, development with instructional and facilitation experience ideally within luxury, retail, or hospitality industries.
- Must be able to write effective copy, instructional text, and audio and video scripts.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, and various multimedia tools.
- Experience with eLearning technology platforms and learning management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in instructional design, graphic design, education, or equivalent field.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams etc.)
