Inspired Beauty Brands is in search of a motivated, organized, and diligent Brand Manager, Innovation and Analytics. As the Brand Manager, Innovation and Analytics for Inspired Beauty Brands, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction for our HASK and Gray Away products and innovation strategy. This newly created position has responsibility for gathering insights and developing analytics across all markets, channels, regions and countries. This role will lead research execution, and creation of actionable insights to inform our innovation agenda and drive growth across the business. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the successful candidate will bring a strong learning and growth perspective, a passion for consumer and shopper insights, and a track record of data analytics in consumer beauty, haircare or other closely related CPG categories.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Brand Equity & Strategy:
- Use data to identify segmentation and ideal consumer target that aligns to the brand positioning
- Support the execution of a portfolio strategy including product architecture, pricing strategy, and SKU management
- Lead with data and insights including market analysis, shopper insights, competitive analysis, and commercial opportunities to position brands competitively
- Monitor product feedback through customer service for opportunities to optimize brand position
- Monitor ratings and reviews to identify customer product performance and opportunities
- Market Analytics:
- Analyze syndicated data POS to identify market trends, competitive analysis, and brand/product performance, to impact innovation and portfolio decisions
- Leverage findings from consumer insights and social listening to support brand and innovation strategy
- Closely monitor trends and new launch activity on an ongoing basis including, product and packaging innovations, claims, technology and consumer experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research findings and data analytics are incorporated into business strategies
- Innovation:
- Assist in the development of a 3-year innovation road map that drives the business and reinforces brand equity
- Assist in development of portfolio strategy
- In partnership with Product Development, draft consumer concept testing/surveys for quals and quant, for purchase intent, product claims, and determination of innovation concept validation through purchase intent.
- Contribute to the achievement of revenue and profit targets through forecasting product innovation & gross profit
- Assist in the development of business plans for product innovation measuring size of prize and incrementality
- Partner with cross functional departments to develop and align on all new product launches, re-formulations, re-packaging, in line with brand positioning, financial and sustainability goals that deliver the business needs
- Partner with Sales to develop new product sizes (commercial innovation)
- Support re-packaging updates of existing products to optimize design, claims, costs and operational efficiency
- Draft marketing label copy aligned to claims strategy and brand goals
- Draft marketing PDP Copy and distribute to cross functional teams as needed
- Product Claims Strategy:
- In partnership with Product Development and Regulatory, develop strategic brand claims that tie to brand equity and support the positioning of products
- Product Launch Tool Kit:
- Create go-to-market tool kits to get global teams excited about innovation and provide all the information required to successfully launch in global regions
- Support the creation of the product presentations that will be used for retailers and internal teams
- Update product copy on retailer PDP’s, owned brand websites, internal shareable assets
- Occasionally present innovation to internal and external teams
- Partner with Product Development and Packaging to create best in class product mock-ups for retailer presentations
- Ensure the communication is consistent for product and brand equity globally
- Post Launch Support
- Support retailer specific programs such as coupons, IRC and off shelf opportunities, as well as product education or training and other in-store opportunities
- Monitor, manage and optimize performance of new products once in the market
REQUIREMENTS:
o Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, market research, or related field
o Must have at least 7-10 years of experience in consumer insights, data analytics, market research and must be in CPG field
o Experience developing and executing research plans and analyzing data to provide actionable insights in consumer products
o Must have experience with IRI or Nielsen
o Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
o Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
o Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
o Must be able to travel 10% of the time
o Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule (2 times per week in our NY Office + remote)
o Ability to thrive in a culture that requires high agility and flexibility in work habits to adjust to multiple demands, shifting business needs and priorities
SALARY RANGE
$80,000 – $100,000
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program.
