What you will do:
The Senior Billing Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties related to the efficient and service oriented operation of a medical practice. The Senior Billing Analyst will perform all job functions in a courteous and professional manner consistent with the mission and core values of St Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates.
Responsibilities:

Works as a liaison between divisional Billing Analysts and Billing Analyst Manager.

Responsible for monitoring the Trinity Health Front End Metrics and working with Divisional Billing Analysts to identify educational opportunities as necessary.

Responsible for review of divisional denial/ rejections and write off dashboards for trends and provide necessary education to Billing analysts and/or Front End/ operational leader.

Meet with each Billing Analyst in their division at least monthly to determine and address the following: any needed help or re-education, optimize billing, payer concerns, any necessary follow up with Billing Analyst Manager.

Must attend Monthly Divisional meetings and share any relevant information, rejection and denial trending and share best practices, areas of improvement and resolution.

Review and track rejection and denial trends within their division and share those trends with Billing Analyst Manager monthly.

Work as a Billing Analyst for designated departments, and complete all tasks as a Billing Analyst.

Be a point of contact for any Phreesia/ Welcome related items for their division.

Answer questions in the Billing Analyst group email daily.

Monitor and update BA Manager with any claim edit or work queue items, educational needs, etc. weekly.

Works within the working queue to review all charges and submit to claims scrubber

Work all claims scrubber edits in a timely basis
-
Identify any problematic charges for further review to correct coding/billing issues and work with Coding Buddy Supervisor and Billing Analyst Manager as needed.

Adhere to productivity/quality guidelines

Communicate effectively and professionally with all Billing Analysts in their division and with all departments in the organization

Report any outstanding claims to contact to ensure all claims are billed timely
-
Review each claim for appropriate information.

Provide necessary feedback from operational departments to Billing Analyst Manager as appropriate
-
Act as a Superuser for the site and act as a resource to ensure patient questions are answered.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations as appropriate.

Daily TOS reconciliation with front end
-
Work cooperatively with all team members to ensure quality service at all times.

Communicate respectfully and effectively with providers, clinical staff, colleagues, managers and others.
What you will need:
-
High school diploma or equivalency required, Associates degree preferred.
-
Experience as a Billing Analyst in a hospital or outpatient setting
-
Effective written and verbal communication skills
-
3+ years' experience in a physician practice or billing office
-
Demonstrated attention to detail, organization & effective time management
-
Ability to work independently with little supervision
-
Knowledge of CPC
-
Knowledge of CPT, CPTII, and ICD10
-
Knowledge of insurance carriers
-
Solid judgment to escalate issues appropriately
-
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, related computer programs & general office machines
Pay Range : $20.20 – $29.30
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
