Position Summary:
Teremana Tequila is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dynamic individual to become its first National Brand Ambassador (BA). The National BA will be responsible for promoting the brand's image and values across the US. He/she will forge connections, educate, and drive advocacy of Teremana among our target audiences of consumers, bartenders, distributors, media, and other key opinion leaders with authenticity, passion, credibility and influence. The National BA will also build a team of regional Brand Ambassadors and take a leadership role in managing and developing them.
Responsibilities include planning and executing national trade advocacy programs, major trade conferences; building relationships with key trade advocates; being a spokesperson for the brand for press, experiential events, influencers, and partners. While not a sales role, the Brand Ambassador should work collaboratively with the sales organization and support them in identifying and looking after key accounts. The National BA will also work with a network of Mana Ohana Specialists - our broader network of trade advocates. Must be based in New York and be willing to travel 60-70% of the time.
Core Responsibilities:
The National BA has 3 main areas of responsibility:
Trade
- Support overall trade advocacy strategy and drink strategy
- Develop and execute education and engagement programs for on-premise and off-premise accounts
- Develop relationship with top tier bartenders
- Plan and execute major trade conferences
- Work with sales team to support distributors and develop local and national accounts
- Provide brand education training for internal, commercial team, distributors
PR
- Be a brand spokesperson for press
- Participate in photoshoots for press
- Participate in broadcast interviews
- Collaborate with PR agency on media development and engagement
Consumer
- Be the face of the brand at experiential consumer events
- Menu development & oversee batching for events
- Engage consumers via own social channel to promote brand
- Participate in photoshoots for social/other media platforms
- Be the spokesperson for influencer partnerships
- Develop own relationships/ opportunities for influencer collaboration
Requirements
- Prior experience as a brand ambassador (strong preference)
- Expert in agave spirits (strong preference)
- Located in New York (mandatory)
- Deep industry experience with strong trade network
- Excellent speaker, presenter, storyteller, and media-ready
- Ability to develop large scale 360 trade advocacy programs that can work nationally
- Strong leader who can manage diverse BA team who live arounds the country
- Team player who can work collaborative with broader Teremana team, ambassador team, commercial team, and agency partners
- Strategic with strong business acumen, attentive to business results, understands how their work fits into the broader brand strategy
- Embodies the values of Teremana: down-to-earth, approachable, inclusive, empathetic, genuine, team player
- Highly entrepreneurial and an incredible self-starter
- Able to handle demanding travel schedule
- Spanish language speaking (desirable)
