Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Merchandising Assistant to join our innovative Women's Ready to Wear team. As a Merchandising Assistant, you'll be an integral member of the Women's Universe with category focus in Women's Ready to Wear. Under Managerial guidance, you will be a transversal product expert supporting and driving the strategy across the retail network. You will possess a strong product expertise and ability to develop competitive landscape knowledge and trends.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Driving the overarching Women’s Ready to Wear strategies and priorities throughout the Louis Vuitton Americas Zone
- Being a detail-oriented and motivated advocate for the WRTW category with strong organizational skills
Innovation
- Support collection launch plans, build vital retail/merchandising tools, compile retail feedback & display imagery
- Prepare recaps on assortment feedback and competitive analysis, keep in mind market needs, trends, pricing, actions, and events
- Maintain routine reporting, proactively attuning analysis to current business needs, assisting with ad hoc analysis requests and presentations
- Assist with routine transversal presentations
- Oversee the WRTW Americas community chat, curate style snapshots to foster engagement
- Maintain WRTW sample closet & tracker
- Provide key bets /invested priorities for Digital site optimization
Agility
- Support routine stock rebalances, ensuring optimal inventory with stock coverage for peak selling periods, events, store openings, and ongoing business needs
- Monitor & support Permanent / Icon program in partnership with Supply Chain
- Partner with Supply Chain on Zone Transfers, monitor and follow product to final destination
- Event support: initiating stock rebalances and creating assortments to support event sales targets. Creating & maintaining necessary tools, monitoring sales tracker. Support adhoc needs either onsite or remotely by monitoring the event hotline
- Participate in Paris buying sessions – inputting orders, sizing, racking, creating recaps, supporting re-see needs and client orders
- Ad hoc administrative tasks including schedule meetings, book conference rooms, ship samples/store tools, etc
Profile
We are eager to speak to merchandising experienced individuals with highly analytical backgrounds and deep understanding of retail math and luxury products, specifically Womens RTW. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication and influencing skills as well as strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Furthermore, ability to convey information effectively through verbal, written and presentation formats is essential. Having exceptional organizational skills along with a detail-oriented nature ensuring accuracy in all aspects of merchandising and inventory management is preferred.
The appointed candidate will be offered an hourly within the range of USD $31-$34/hr, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
