This is a hybrid position that can be based out of either our Columbus, OH or New York City headquarters.
Your Role
The Manager of Merchandise Planning is responsible for establishing merchandise plans using various projections, market feedback and historical data. This role manages the department’s financials by developing and gaining alignment on budgets, goals, and plans, and ensuring that the financial strategy pursued is consistent with the brand growth plan. This role partners with wholesale brands for timely long-range plans, projections, and buys. This role hires, coaches, and develops a quality team including succession planning and regular performance reviews to address personal growth and development needed to foster a productive, focused, and collaborative team.

Your Impact
- Cultivate a happy and healthy culture amongst the team by providing leadership and training needed to produce a team that consistently contributes financial growth to the business
- Lead and manage the Merchandise Planning team in the development, analysis, and revision of sales, margin, and inventory targets
- Multi-task across pre-season, in-season, and post-season assortment strategies
- Highlight the opportunities or risks associated with achieving the current financial plan; create action plans to maximize or mitigate
- Clearly present analysis in weekly merchant meetings, monthly planning meetings, and quarterly buy strategy meetings
- Establish strong relationships with cross-functional partners, specifically the merchandising, marketing, digital, and pricing teams
- Generate trusting and open relationships with wholesale brand teams, partnering to review business results, share future buy strategies, and achieve pertinent deadlines
- Lead team in tactical execution of Merchandise Planning process, including line plan management, monthly plan re-trending, and promotional architecture
- Assess health of the business by focusing on pareto analysis and providing guidance to merchant team on future assortment architecture
- Maintain risk assessment models that are used to determine buy levels and maintain profitability to budgets

Minimum Salary: $121,000.00
Maximum Salary: $165,060.00

Your Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain or related discipline preferred
- 5-7+ years of retail merchandise or demand planning experience
- Prior experience leading a team with demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong and dedicated work ethic, with self-starter mentality
- Efficient and accurate analytical skills
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Superior time management with focus on achieving deadlines
- Ability to recognize need for urgency and accuracy
- Ability to work well within a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent communication, prioritizing and problem-solving skills
- Advanced technical skill proficiency using Enterprise Planning
Additional Preferred Experience
- Direct and/or third-party planning experience is a plus
