About the role:
Our client is looking for a visionary, creative, and strategic Senior Director of Brand and
Communications to lead the direction and amplify the brand as we continue to grow
rapidly.
As a senior leader on the marketing team and working closely with the CEO, you’ll be
responsible for all aspects of brand and communications strategy, including external and internal comms, thought leadership, core brand and messaging strategy, brand channels, and
multi-channel campaign development.
Your role will be central to building out our consumer brand and communications strategy, as well as our B2B and executive thought leadership. You'll partner with every part of the business—marketing, product, sales, account management, CX—as well as our client partners to evangelize what makes the company so groundbreaking for both consumers and companies alike. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of brand-building and leading successful communications strategies at multiple high-growth, fast-paced startups and is excited about the prospect of defining an entirely new category in a fun and disruptive space.
Key Responsibilities:
● Strategic Leadership: Provide the leadership, strategy, and vision to develop and execute
a comprehensive brand and communications strategy that elevates the brand
position and awareness across both consumer and B2B markets.
● Team and Agency Management: Lead and mentor a small but highly effective team,
including one direct report, external agencies, and contractors, ensuring alignment with
company goals and maximizing their potential.
● Brand Development: Shape the core brand identity and messaging strategy, ensuring it
aligns with company values and resonates with both internal and external audiences.
● Brand Channels: Oversee our presence across key owned brand channels like organic
social and influencer while helping to shape our new channel testing strategy
● Communications Oversight: Lead all facets of communications, including consumer and
B2B, codifying key thought leadership topics, and building out executive communications
strategies that elevate the company and CEO’s profile.
● Campaign Development: Direct the development of integrated, multi-channel campaigns
to increase cultural relevance, awareness, and conversion, driving both consumer and
B2B growth.
● Market Insight and Consumer Research: Monitor market trends and the competitive
landscape to inform brand strategy and ensure the brand maintains its first-mover
position in the market.
● Brand Stewardship: Serve as a steward of the brand internally and externally, ensuring
consistency across all channels and that the brand personality is reflected in all
communications and interactions.
● Content Strategy: Oversee the creation of compelling content across all key channels,
including digital, social, PR, and traditional media, ensuring consistency and alignment
with brand messaging.
● Internal Communications: Develop and implement an internal communications strategy
that fosters brand advocacy and alignment across all levels of the organization.
