Premier Group is currently recruiting an accomplished and ambitious Head of Marketing on behalf of our client a dynamic commerce marketing agency that is expanding into the North American market.
As part of this growth within the US, we are looking for a Senior Leader who will be solely responsible for driving growth in the region, building brand recognition & supporting new business targets.
You’ll be joining an office in its infancy stage, within an organization that is very established in this field, with a great track record & performance globally. You’ll be able to learn the company process & values, whilst also being able to offer your local market knowledge & expertise.
About the Role:
The successful applicant's success will hinge on their ability to drive best-in-class marketing campaigns, cultivate organic, earned & paid opportunities, and lead the team as a commercially-minded marketer. They will take charge of setting and achieving marketing goals, while also cultivating relationships with key stakeholders internally in addition to external clients & partners.
This role will be based NYC, and each applicant must be comfortable with a hybrid work environment and occasional domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive annual marketing strategy aligned with North American business objectives as well as global marketing goals. Design and structure marketing processes to ensure seamless integration and support across all marketing activities.
- Oversee the planning and execution of core marketing functions, including branding, digital marketing, content creation, events, public relations, and demand generation. Ensure that each function contributes to overall marketing objectives and delivers measurable, impactful results.
- Manage the annual North American marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across various functions and campaigns. Continuously track and optimize ROI for all marketing activities, using data-driven insights to maximize the impact of marketing investments in collaboration with Commercial leaders within the North American teams.
- Scope, develop, and optimize standardized tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms for all marketing functions. Work with the Global Marketing Director to ensure uniformity across global and North American processes where feasible. Establish clear KPIs and responsibilities for each marketing function, fostering consistency, efficiency, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead the development and execution of the brand strategy for North America, ensuring consistency across all market touchpoints while adhering to global guidelines. Oversee the creation of compelling, relevant content that supports business development, nurtures target prospects, and positions the company as a thought leader in the industry.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with key clients, prospects, and partners through strategic marketing initiatives. Collaborate with leadership, business development, and partner teams to ensure marketing efforts support client acquisition, organic growth, and long-term relationship building.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team by attracting top talent and cultivating a culture of excellence. Provide mentorship, professional development, and clear career advancement opportunities, ensuring the team thrives in a results-driven environment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments and leadership teams to ensure marketing strategies align with broader business objectives. Facilitate transparent communication and knowledge sharing across the organization to enhance understanding of North American marketing plans and performance, and identify areas for improvement in marketing’s contribution to business results.
- Design and implement advanced prospect nurturing programs utilizing marketing automation, personalized content, and multi-channel engagement. Continuously optimize these programs based on performance data to increase conversion rates and accelerate the sales cycle.
- Lead initiatives to elevate the company's reputation within key industry bodies and trade organizations. Develop strategies for thought leadership, including speaking engagements and industry partnerships, to position the company as a leader in the North American market and beyond.

- Proven track record of coaching and developing a high-performing, growing team.
- Experience in driving business growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Significant experience in a marketing leadership role within a sales organization, ideally within the Advertising or Retail Media sector.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with key clients, prospects, and partners through strategic marketing initiatives, ensuring marketing efforts support client acquisition and organic growth goals.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team by attracting top talent and fostering a culture of excellence in execution. Provide mentorship, professional development opportunities, and clear career paths for team members.
