Job Description:We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Communications Associate to join our team in New York City. The Communications Associate will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives to promote Daily Dot Art, enhance brand awareness, and engage our target audience across various channels.
Job: Full time
Pay range: $21.50 to $32.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of integrated communications strategies and campaigns to promote Daily Dot Art's brand, products, and initiatives across multiple channels, including press releases, media pitches, social media, email newsletters, and website content.
- Collaborate with the communications team to write and edit engaging and informative content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and marketing materials, that effectively communicates Daily Dot Art's key messages, values, and achievements to external and internal stakeholders.
- Support media relations efforts by cultivating and maintaining relationships with media contacts, journalists, bloggers, and influencers, and assisting with media outreach, pitching stories, and securing media coverage for Daily Dot Art and its artists, exhibitions, and events.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, track press mentions and social media mentions, and compile media reports to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts and identify opportunities for media outreach and engagement.
- Coordinate content creation and distribution across Daily Dot Art's social media channels, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments and messages, to increase follower engagement and amplify brand messaging.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive content for various audiences and platforms.
- Strong media relations skills and experience in media outreach, pitching stories, and securing media coverage.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and tools, as well as email marketing platforms, content management systems (CMS), and digital analytics tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize communication performance.
