Artist Studio Assistant

Established artist is currently seeking a permanent, long-term, part-time, Studio Manager, ideally with printmaking skills, to manage all aspects of an active professional artist studio. Work will be both in-person and remote and will entail frequent travel to upstate Hudson Valley studio.

Candidate must be tech-savvy, detail oriented, punctual, have an aesthetic sensibility and the ability to wear many hats. Studio environment is warm, collegial, supportive--(with lunch included on most days).

With some printmaking experience, hands-on studio work can be a component of the job.

Skills and Responsibilities

- Expert computer skills

- Manage artist' digital inventory, and physical location of works.

- Manage Social Media presence

- Maintain and update artist website

- High proficiency in Adobe programs

- Graphic design skills for collateral materials

- Manage and maintain studio supplies

- Coordinate installation, shipping, packing and

transportation of artwork

- Oversee outside vendors

- Organize studio events

- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

- Liaison with museums, galleries, collectors and press

- Savvy artworld knowledge

- Four-year minimum college
