PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Flexsteel is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Operations Coordinator at our High Point Showroom and Innovation Center locations (High Point, North Carolina). This role will primarily support our team in preparation for the April and October Furniture Markets. We are seeking a versatile and skilled individual with a strong background in maintenance tasks. This role will collaborate with the Showroom Manager and labor teams to receive shipments and arrange furniture in the showroom. When not preparing for Market, this role will support the engineering team at Flexsteel’s Innovation Center with day-to-day tasks, including maintaining a clean and organized environment, transporting furniture and samples, and coordinating with vendors.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Showroom Preparation:
Assist the Showroom Manager in setting up the showroom for the Furniture Market.
Collaborate with labor teams to receive and inspect incoming shipments of furniture.
Organize and arrange furniture and displays in an appealing manner in accordance with CAD floorplan.
Ensure all showroom items are properly labeled and displayed according to brand standards.
Assist with post-Market product sell-off and pack out.
Support for Engineering Team:
Move furniture and samples as needed to facilitate engineering projects.
Receive and organize shipments related to facility and team needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the building and model shop areas.
Help put samples in racking and ensure they are accessible for the engineering team.
Ability to assemble and repair upholstered furniture and case goods.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open lines of communication with the Showroom Manager to ensure all setup requirements are met effectively and on time.
Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including labor teams and engineering staff, to coordinate tasks and schedules.
Provide feedback to the Showroom Manager regarding any issues or improvements needed during setup.
General Duties:
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
Assist with inventory management by tracking incoming and outgoing items.
All other duties as assigned.
